Ready, Set, Go! Who Has The World’s Fastest Internet?

According to recent estimates by Internetworldstats.com, there were about 6.9 billion people in the world in 2011. Of that number, about  2.1 billion (30.2%) were regular Internet users. Unfortunately, not all internet speed is equal according to this infographic from lemon.ly. America ranks 26 on the list with an average speed of about 4.93 Mbps. Compared to South Korea’s average speed of 17.62 Mbps, the United States looks sluggish. America might not have the fastest intetnet in the world, but it certainly doesn’t have the slowest. The Congo takes the cake with 13KBps. Ouch!
